Fuzzy Scales
An old lighting experiment that I am posting late. In this scene, I was experimenting with Mental Ray, light flow, and interaction with textures. I loved the cube statue that came out of it.
Another go at 3-D modeling. I was having a tough time with this one guys. I think it’s because I keep trying to make things based on spheres instead of more traditional cubes. Hmmm
I also tried out some bumpmapping, and applied a leather map to the tentacles (I wanted feathers, but they wouldn’t paint right). I’ll see what I can’t make the next time.
Hmmm, more hearts. I sense a theme here. Honestly though, trying to make hearts as symmetrical as possible and smooth without causing too many Maya bugs has been a good practice for me.
