In the Pokemon D&D campaign that I am a part of, my starter pokemon, Eevee, undergoes a grand transformation. Not seeing any Eeveelution fit for her Coconut, my character Ellen Noir became an Eevee trainer, but with all the stress from impending doom on man and pokekind, Coconut underwent an unnatural evolution: Evoleon.More details of our epic adventures will be shared through our in-the-works webcomic!

I’ve been doing some concepts for a secret project. I decided to execute this one with a more mixed-media style, and sorta like how it came out.

One day, my brother’s cat was lounging in my lap. I imagined how he might look with cybernetic parts, saw some charcoal sticks nearby, then magic happened. :3 A few years old, but still my favorite piece I ever did working with charcoal.

Last Fall, some friends and I started a Pokemon D&D campaign, which resulted in such interesting characters and stories that we were compelled to share them as a comic.  From left to right: Ellen, Danika, Trevor, Moonjam, Ba’Tman, and Rivet.  Stay tuned as these unlikely friends are about to embark on their first pokemon adventure.

My Pokemon D&D Character, Ellen Noir.  Despite her aged expression, she is a 19-year-old Eevee trainer fresh out of pallet town.  Besides her beloved Coconut (Eevee), her passions are creating enticing pokemon inspired foods - mostly pastries, and is currently traveling with a crew of fellow newbie trainers.

My first self-portrait EVER! (at least that I can remember - Somewhere, there may be walls with crayon etchings lurking under its paint) Everything that appears white is actually what I erased with a mask on the back texture. I’m planning on coloring something else (like maybe a web-comic) with this method later. ;)

An exercise in drawing perspective, and one that showed I really need work in that area. I started by photoshopping some images, but it didn’t feel right. So I scrapped the project and redrew it all by hand. It’s my first airship. Also, the background is a filler for now.

An illustration I did for the month of February for an art calendar that never quite happened. I tried using a style different than my usual, and I really like how it came out. I may even one day make more months (cat-themed, of course).
